Dear all,

We are excited to announce the SDSC-wide best-practices & guidelines documentation 🎉.

Thanks to all the work from the Best-Practice Ambassador Team, we're launching the docs and we welcome any contributor to help us improve it and expand it 👏🏽.

This documentation is primarily intended for research software developers and data scientists.

Goals

The goal of this documentation is to streamline state-of-the-art best-practices & guidelines for everybody to reuse and cite. Every page is tagged to make the documentation more searchable.

Call to Action

Now we need you 🫵🏼 - as many pages are still under construction and would benefit from your input 🚧. If you wanna feel like a hero and you'd like to contribute, please start by reading the contribution guide. We appreciate any input, opinion or suggestion 💘. It is also advisable to announce your contributions first here to reduce double-work and friction. Note that your authorship will become more prominently visible to the public once we integrated this issue.

Topics may become outdated over time. As the author of a topic, please review your contributions periodically and update them as needed. We plan to introduce automated reminders for this in the future.
